Creative Commons Cunt

I happened on to a phenomenon due to my prediliction for Creative Commons licensing and how that interplays in intellectual property considerations in digital media.

I did a Google image search for "Creative Commons Cunt." Nothing of interest appeared until the second page when I found Sexy Sadie's pantied cunt. It was exactly the image I was looking for, so I referenced it and stuck it in my post.

There were other pictures though:

J. Cardinal's Picture on Flicker -- a nice place for Creative Commons licensed material

There was Caroline H's hoody in the sunshine on Wikimedia, another good source for CC licensed material.  There is a whole section on both male and female genitalia.

And here is Lawrence Lessig, the law professor behind the whole Creative Commons licensing movement, lecturing with a Creative Commons logo that looks a little bit like a hairy cunt.

But the original Sexie Sadie Cunt was the one that caused me the most consternation because it was Thursday.  An entire world exists of people who post half naked pictures of themselves on the Internet every Thursday.HNTbutton

I told another blogger about it and she promptly posted a picture of herself and had more hits in one day than I've had in the lifetime of my blog.  I would be tempted to say that was fucked up, but she is extremely sexy and I looked a half dozen times myself and this is The American Orgy after all and what's a little half-nudity at an orgy?  Apparently very appealing.

My lesson?  Shameless self promotion using pictures of naked women.  Maybe a few people looking will actually be wanting to read.

  1. I've gotten some good mileage out of googlability on the subject of topless and nude beaches. I've found that most of those hits don't stay to read, but some do.

  2. I'm amazed at the human spectacle. An entire religion of HNT has grown out of people's deisre to be noticed -- and really seen and praised.

The HNT phenomenon is about bringing voyeurs and exhibitionists together as far as I can tell in a mini-American Orgy of mutual gratification.

Tapping into that social network brought immediate acceptance and acknowledgement far beyond the power of the Great Whore of Google-on. Just as tapping into a political social network or a religious affiliated network can bring real readers.
