Photoshop and media manipulation are dominating the Orgy. This weeks top four fuck-ups:
Number 4: Demi Moore Has a Hip Operation Compliments of Adobe
Do they really think using the liquiefy tool is all that tough? The real crime here is that it looks a lot worse than the original would have.Plus, anyone my age shouldn't be subjected to photoshop.
Sigh, I like curves and hips.
However, in all reality, air brushing isn't exactly new in the fashion industry -- or Playboy.
3. Fox News Admits Incompetence
Ok, that was a bit of an exaggeration -- see, I can do it too. What they said was someone changed the copy for the anchor and didn't tell the film footage guy that he needed to change the cheering throngs of a McCain/Palin rally to the footage of people standing in line for a book signing. See for yourself.
2. Fox News Admits Incompetence and Apologizes to Jon Stewart
It is pretty pathetic that the Orgy's biggest news media watchdog is a comedy show. So here is Stewart's original capture and then some commentary on Hannity's "apology."
1. Sarah Palin Claims Sexism Because She Isn't Really Running
Newsweek gets top honors for the week for this Cover. Remember when the Palin crowd was bent because Newsweek ran a close up of her face and it showed wrinkles and black head pores? It was deemed demeaning.
The problem with Palin is that she has her own press release service, which is Facebook, where according to news reports (you think I'd go on fucking Facebook and add her as a friend?) she wrote:
The out-of-context Newsweek approach is sexist and oh-so-expected by now. If anyone can learn anything from it: it shows why you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, gender, or color of skin.
Who writes this stuff for her? I want to know who she hires to put up her status reports on Facebook.
But why is she offended? Before it was beacuse she was ugly. This time because she was ostensibly hot. I think she is offended because she doesn't get the joke -- Sarah Palin: "I'm not running for anything, except possibly Queen of Facebook." Newsweek: "The Republicans think she is running -- See the picture?" Irony, ha, ha, ha. Irony is lost on Palin, but not on the Orgy.
