Being the brilliant soul that I am, I decided to re-write a nursery rhyme:
Georgie Porgie, Puddin' and Pie,
Kissed the girls and made them cry,
When the boys came out to play
Georgie Porgie ran away.
This is the American Orgy after all and a nursery rhyme with all those "orgy" sounds was almost irresistible -- and then I remembered A Brave New World and Aldous Huxley:
Orgy-porgy, Ford and fun,
Kiss the girls and make them One.
Boys at one with girls at peace;
Orgy-porgy gives release.
Ford, if you recall, was the replacement for God in Huxley's dystopia. Also, Huxley replaced the rhyme of the original with the first couplet rhyming fun/One rather than pie/cry and peace/release rather than play/away. Huxley was being a bit wimpy, a little New Agey for my taste -- let us all be at one and at peace. Anyone who has been to an orgy knows it isn't all that peaceful.
Then there was 2 Live Crew:
'I'm just like that man they call Georgie Puddin' Pie/
I fuck all the girls and I make 'em cry/
I'm like a dog in heat, a freak without warning/
I have an appetite for sex, cause me so horny'.
Warning and horny? And I thought rappers were supposed to rhyme.
I came across this version for the dominant bi-sexuals:
Orgy-porgy, a dominant bi
Spanked the girls and made them cry,
When the boys join in the play
Orgy-porgy just spanked away.
I'd love to find all the Orgy-porgy versions I can. Any suggestions?
